Two sections into the new class format and students are starting to come around. It turns out they don't want to feel bad and look at a quiz they don't know how to do. I constantly reiterate, "focus less on finishing, focus more on learning!" and "Quality, not Quantity." I've heard of students complaining to other teachers (during homeroom), but even they are coming around. It's late in the year and I'm taking a risk with their grades changing the format this late, but I think it just might work.
I'm making ice cream cone cupcakes for one of my senior classes tomorrow. Trying something new!! That's my new motto. From food to sports, I'm going to try to stop being such a wuss and start living. Weird how the thought of creating a new life has made me reevaluate mine. I'm constantly thinking of how I want my child to see me and what qualities I'd like to pass on. I wonder if I'm pregnant yet?! LOL
