I tried to feed him when he got hungry instead of sticking with a schedule.  The most notable difference was a 3 hour nap mid day.  He ate at 9 and then not again until 2 because he slept right through.  At 2 I woke him, but all I did was say his name and he opened his eyes, so he was ready to get up.  He started crying for a bottle immediately, but luckily I already had one ready.  I said his name at 1 and he didn't stir, so I decided to let him go until 2 at the latest.  He was drowsy after the bottle, but did wake and play.  At 245 I took him to the grocery with me.  He got cranky for just a minute or so in the store and fell asleep while I was still shopping.  I was so scared he would start crying for real that I went to the baby aisle and grab a package of pacifiers.  He fell asleep and I forgot to put them back, so now we have yet another type of pacifier that he won't suck on LOL.  We must have a dozen different kinds and at least 2 of each.  He just doesn't want one.  Oh well, it will force me to be a more attentive parent, b/c I can't just stuff a paci in his mouth to quiet him.  He's trying desperately to get his thumb into his mouth and he gets closer every day.

I heard that Monroe schools are looking for a new math teacher and I'm going to apply.  I'm really excited about it.  My biggest fear is that I get the job, but they offer to bring me in at step three instead of step seven.  I would lose a lot of money that way.  Maybe too much.  I'd hate to have to turn it down!  I'm thinking to far ahead, though.  They'll probably look for a first year teacher anyway.
