Spencer's got two little chicken pox on his arm. I called the doctor-on-call (Dr. Eppsley?) and he said not to worry, that it's no more dangerous at this age than any other. Hopefully he's so little that it will be a very mild case. I'll just keep him dosed on Tylenol, in a sleep 'n play, and hope he doesn't get any on his face. I'm REALLY PISSED at Nadya!!!!!!!!!!! Mike said that I shouldn't waste my energy b/c she will just think she's done me a favor. I posted on the mom's group that he's got chickenpox and we'll see if she makes any sort of reply. I'm mostly annoyed that she didn't think to call me and let me know that Mar. had come down with them. It's a common courtesy to let someone know that their kid could get something from yours - regardless of what the illness is. I really don't want to be a mom like her.
Other than that it was an okay day. Spencer's been a little out of sorts the last couple of days, and now I know why. Just a little cranky and upset. He's still eating okay and no other symptoms. I'll call the doc immediately if I need to. I was actually a little proud of myself for calling the doc tonight. I usually would have just waited for tomorrow, but I just thought, I need to know if it's dangerous at this age.
Mike and I went out to D&B's tonight. It was fun. That have a deal that for $16 you get dinner and $10 worth of playing. They've lowered their game prices too, so ten bucks actually got us a decent amount of games. Tom and Lucy came up to see Spencer and now they want to come up this weekend too. She said "for Father's day", why do they need to see him on Father's Day???? She's so weird sometimes. Next, she want to see him for Arbor Day and President's Day. I understand the need to see him and be with him all the time, I really do, I just get so annoyed at the desperation. And that fact that we are sooooo foundamentally different doesn't help. She's started doing where she says what she's thinking and expects me to respond. For instance, "she's got something in her hand, but I don't know what it is." To which I'm expected to tell her what's in my hand. One, it's not her business what's in my hand, two, it doesn't matter what's in my hand, three, I'm
Chris, not she, and fourth, it was a statement not a question. Whatever, maybe she was talking to Spencer.
My mom flew off the dramatic edge when I said that Spence has the pox, but that's not really surprising. Uuummmmm... I guess that's it. More later, if I can think of any.
