Therapy was bad today. We got there on time, but our therapists didn't come out until 940, so our half hour was automatically only 20 minutes. And Jen was sick, so it was Katie, yet another new person. It took Spencer 10 minutes to play with the new car before he started making any noise at all besides car noises, then she never really did get him to mimic her or anything. Then she wanted to do this trick or treat thing. He was close to tears the whole time. Poor kid. Everytime we go it's a new person, new toys, new room, etc. No consistency what-so-ever. We only have a half hour, and we keep spending so much of it just getting started that it's time to go when we actually do. I'm going to talk to Jen on Thursday about it. I'd like to see some consistency and I'd like to be notified if she's not going to be there so we can just cancel. Otherwise, I'll find somewhere else I guess. Or just work with him myself. I don't think he's going to talk until he'd damn good and ready regardless.

Anyway - he's saying all done instead of signing it after meals. He did a really good 'all gone' in imitation of me today. He said a bunch of other things, including no.

He peed on his potty the first time he ever sat on it. I was going also and I said, "Mommy's going pee-pee on the big potty, you go pee-pee on your potty" and he actually did. I was shocked and proud. Then he stood up, turned around, and stuck his hand in it. Sooooo, he got to play in the water while I cleaned up the pot. He didn't pee before bath when I put him on it again. He diaper was pretty full though.

He pointed twice. Once at the m&m's. I was outside the playroom and he was inside, they were sitting on top of the kitchen. I told him to point at them if he wanted them, and he did. He kept his pointer finger and thumb together in a modified okay sign, but it was pointing! Then a second time a little while later. I was making dinner and he wanted up (pupupupup) so I picked him up and he kinda almost reached for something. But there were muffins and bottled water (I found these cute little bottles with Lightening and the gang on them) and I wasn't sure which he wanted. He had just finished a cup of milk and had already told me he was hungry, so I really could have been either. I told him to show me which one he wanted, and he put his hand out toward the water. I gave him one and took the cap off and he proceeded to give me a drink of it. Progress!

Rachel was good today. We were at therapy while she should have been napping, but she was very cooperative. I put her in the snugli again. That worked well. Then when we got home she napped for a long time. Up for an hour and a half and then down for awhile. She ate an entire container of sweet potatoes. She wasn't sure about the first bite, but by the second bite she was hooked. That's been her favorite so far. She kept looking at me and opening her mouth wide, as if to say "Mom, you said to open my mouth and you'd put food in, well, my mouth's open!!!" Man she's getting cuter every day.

Mike was good too. I got a bit annoyed in the evening because he was constantly at the computer or phone and seemed to look up only when forced. He was happy though, so I can't really complain. I kept my mouth shut. Telling him I'm annoyed at things like that always ends badly. I'm sure he saw whatever he was doing as important. Ugghh, and he keeps finding new ways to 'jailbreak' his phone. Then getting annoyed when things go wrong. Hello - you go to joesasshole.com and install his free software on your $500 phone? Uhhh, that doesn't sound like the best idea, even if 200 other people (and do you really know they are not just 200 joesasshole psuedonames) say it's the best thing ever. I'll wait for apple to endorse it first thanks. And no, we will not replace your phone if you 'brick' it. And he keeps telling me that we are so screwed financially, but then he buys a $25 phone case just to toss it aside a few days later? I know it's his stipend, but how many times have we forgiven stipends because they are so out of control we'll never pay them off? We have to stop this. He bought two cases now that are together as much as the vaja case that seems so outrageously expensive. And I feel guilty buying little shoes for Rachel and scour the net trying to find the best deal (you can check the blog at chrispencerachel.com for pics of these adorable little shoes).

Oh well, I guess that's enough for one night. Tomorrow is Trick or Treat here. Yay!!! Tom and Lucy are coming. Boo!!!
