Ugghh! Thank goodness my Sunday with the inlaws is over. The best part - I don't have to do it again for 2 weeks. We left right when Spencer woke up at 2, I stopped to get a frozen chocolate mint coffee (yumm!), and we arrived at 3. Half of the Christmas presents that we bought a couple of weeks ago for Spencer were out and ready to be played with. WTF??? Oh well, he had fun, that's what matters. It was good that I brought dinner for Spencer because yet again they were not prepared for anything. They did have milk though, which was good. Rachel slept on the way down. She got tired but wouldn't nap there, so she was fussy. Big shock. She was asleep in the car practically before we pulled out of their driveway to
He was much more vocal when we got home. He said "whoa", when I said it about him walking over books. That's the w sound. I think that's new. Not sure though. It's hard to keep track of what sounds he makes when there's no words assigned to them.
They both went to sleep without much of a fight. Well, without any fight actually. Spencer made a little noise, but I think Rachel was just plain out. She's starting to just roll right over onto her side the second you lay her down when she's really tired. I remember Spencer used to do that. I think it is adorable. They are both amazing.
Mike's playing Halo again. He's determined to beat it on legendary now. He already beat it on heroic, and maybe easy too. How many times does he need to play it through again? Oh well, that $60 he's not spending on a new game :oP.
Looking forward to the big playdate here on Friday. We are looking at 6 moms and 8 kids so far. It should be fun. I'm going to set up 'bowling'. And by that I mean rolling a 12 inch plastic ball between the sofa and table and knocking over 10 empty water bottles and getting a sticker for their efforts. And I'm going to try to make these oatmeal fruit wad things that were posted on bbc. I hope they turn out well. Otherwise I'll just be offering up cheese cubes and grapes ;o).
Speech therapy tomorrow at 2. I need to ask again about switching to Jen both days.
