Weird day. Started off okay. Spencer was acting fine all morning. He even said up, up, up when I was making muffins and he wanted to 'help'. It was the first time he's used words as a command (so to speak). He's said that before, but as I'm picking him up, like description. Awesome. Then we got to therapy. He didn't want to go with Miss Jen. I went to and that made it okay, but he didn't want to go with her to get toys. Then he wouldn't talk for awhile. Then he started talking and everything was good. Finally, she wanted to take him out to the big room, but he bulked and started crying. He felt a bit warm, maybe from teething. He's been working on that last (for now) molar. So we decided we were done a couple of minutes early. Came home, everything is fine.
I'm busting ass trying to get the floors cleaned. Rachel's not happy about the vacuum (if she's asleep it wakes her up, if she's awake it scares her, can't win). I got the living room done. I put her to bed and went to work on the kitchen. Spencer is quiet playing in his playroom. I'm happy because he's not underfoot trying to walk on the wet floors, and inevitably falling (which he did later). So I go to check on him and he's playing wiht his crayons. Fine. Check on him again a few minutes later, still playing with crayons, but this time he coughs a little. Oh my god, what the hell is that green thing in his mouth? And that pink thing, and that gold thing??? So I stick my finger in to sweep out the crayons, realizing that he's been playign with them for 10 minutes and could have probably eaten a few (I guess I'll see in his poopy tomorrow). I guess I stuck my finger back too far because he started puking. Now we are both covered in puke. Yay. By the time I got us both cleaned up, Rachel was awake again and hungry. So I made dinner. Which Spencer didn't eat. I'm assuming he ate the crayons because he was chewing on the wax for his gums? I don't know, he's never eaten them before. Well, once, but that was a fluke, or so I thought. He was also really whiny and crying for no real reason. I'm sure it's teething. I don't know what else it could be.
Rachel ate an entire container of peaches that were mixed with 3 tablespoons of rice cereal and then took a 4 ounce bottle. Wow! That girl can eat. She went to bed a little early and without a bath. I'm exhausted, so sue me.
I worked out on Monday and Tuesday, then went to the Y for a mini-workout on Wednesday, then cleaning todya. I was sweating the whole time I was cleaning, which was about an hour, so though I won't pretend it really counts, I'm going to think of it as half a workout. I'm going to try hard to get on the machine again tomorrow morning. Rachel was up at 5 this mornign and that was just too early. 530 would be better. Think she'll cooperate?
