Taking a break from trying to knit a goddamned sweater. I've started over at least 6 times and my hands hurt. I'm going to make this sweater though. I think I found out where I've been screwing up repeatedly, but then I messed up somewhere else entirely. Grrr!!!

Good day anyway. I realized that since I'm trying so hard not to obsess about what Spencer is doing that's not normal, I'm noticing all the things that he does that are. He said 'hungry' this morning and was very excited when I understood him. He said 'in' to go into the playroom. He said 'bubble'. And a bunch of other things. We made a strange stew in the play kitchen. Played with cars. All the usual stuff.

He said "Hi daddy' to Mike when he came home. We practiced. It was cool. Mike bought him a Doc Hudson shake n go. He LOVES it!!!

We have pictures in the morning. Rachel and I went to Carter's to get her a little red headband that matches her dress.

Allison came over for awhile today. Her little boy was a mess. He must have been cutting his second tooth because he just cried the whole time. She kept giving him a bottle that she had 'spiked' with the gerber rice cereal with bananas. Why would you put that in a bottle??? I didn't say anything, though. My guess was that the nipple kept getting clogged and he was hungry, but not getting anything. Cause he sucked down this little thing of apple juice she gave him. I guess I'm just strict, but Rachel only gets bottles of formula and nothing in a bottle but formula (except once she had a pedialyte bottle, but that was per the doctor). Once she started eating cereal with a spoon we stopped putting it in the bottle. She eats solids, but it's just for practice. Different flavors and textures and watching for any allergies, etc. Her nutrition will be from formula in a bottle till she hits one and then we'll transition to sippy's. Allison already has her little boy playing with a sippy. I didn't say anything, to each his own, but she and I obviously have very different philosophies on feeding. Rachel is a porker next to her little boy too. She's a porker next to most babies. I just had her in a onsie and her little thighs are so chunky. She's so cute. These pics tomorrow are going to be fabulous.

Oh, and I finally got Spencer to smile for the camera today. Finally!!! I'm going to go work on those now...
