I'm drained.  There I said it.  I am just totally drained.  The last time I remember feeling like this was my first year of teaching.  For the first month, every night I would come home, sit in the chair and just veg until bedtime.  Completely zone out.  That's what I feel like now.  I don't need a mom's night out.  Or a mid day break.  I need an uninterrupted span of time to just veg.  No kids needing something, no husband wanting attention, no dogs needing to go out.  No demands, no expectations, no questions, no decisions, nothing.  Just peace and quiet.  For the first time in 2.5 years, I'm looking for a vacation without kids.  I'm actually trying to figure out if 2 nights would be too much.  We did a one night before and it was almost relaxing, but I think we needed a couple more hours than we got.  

Kids are good.  I was uber busy today.  Cleaning ladies came, went to the store, Kori came over, then dropped the kids by Melanie's, went to marriage counseling, back to Melanie's for dinner and then home.  I told Spencer it was time for bed and he ran to his room and laid down.  I changed his diaper in bed and said good night.  I haven't heard a peep since.

He did fantastic today.  Korie has three kids and he played with all of them.  Her youngest is 2 and he took her by the hand and led her around the house.  He played cars with the oldest boy.  And the middle girl was enamored with Rachel.  Fun was had by all and Korie had a nice time catching up.

Memphis was fun this weekend.  I got sunburnt on Thursday and by Sat it was blistering and intensely painful.  It's still hurting, but nothing like Sat and it's starting to itch and peel already too.  Now I've got a raw spot on my shoulder from where the peeling went to far into the still hurting.

We got a dvd player for the drive home and it kept the kids happy.  So the drive home wasn't bad at all.  Might try to go down again next month.  Mike might go too.  We'll see.

We did have a great time in Memphis.  Spencer pooped in their pool.  That was the last of the swimming lol.  It was late Sunday night though.
