But tonight, he had his first ride on a power wheels battery powered 'car'. He was in heaven. It took him a few tries to get up the nerve to get on it, and then another few tries until he actually lifted his feet and pushed the button, but then it was go time. He said "wow, CAR" and you could tell a new dimension had just been added to his life. Right now he's happily watching Cars, which he hasn't been interested in for awhile. And talking constantly to the screen.
Rachel is about the same. Her rash is totally back in full force. We still have no clue what it is, but when I wiped her chest and belly after dinner (left her naked trying to let her skin air out), it flair up red and she cried in pain. So I went and bought the Pampers Sensitive wipes that we used to use. Could it be something as simple as the wipes? I don't know when we switched to the Kirkland's brand, but it could very well have been the same time that the rash started up. Or maybe it's not related at all. So we are back to all name brand detergents, diapers, and wipes. I think we are just going to count the days until her dermatologist appt in Sept.
In scrapping news, I've joined a creative team. Just dipping my toes in the water, I'm such a wimp. But I'll be doing layouts for Courtney Wilson at Plain Digital Wrapper. Gonna work on them tonight. The kit she sent me to work on is a sea theme. I'm thinking of getting away from the kids for a moment and scrappin pics from our cruises. Hopefully I'll get some inspiration when I'm scanning through the pieces. I'll post them here, of course too.
Here's my latest creations:
The first two are from a kit called Kendall. It was a blog freebie that I downloaded when I first started scrapping and I don't have any more info. It's always been one of my favorites.
The second two are mostly self created. The taupe background the the green plaid are from Sarah Meyer's Off the Bolt: Neutrals. I changed the coloration of both though. the grey swirls are a highly modified element from someone (sorry!) and the polka dots and red/taupe swirls are all mine with help from Atomic Cupcake.
