Another good day.  Rachel has another tooth that I didn't realize she had cut.  Spencer was super clingy and wanted me to play with him all day.  Mike was determined to play as much Lego Star Wars as he possibly could.

I think I mentioned that I cancelled our cleaning service.  There were many reasons:  too expensive, not doing everything they should have been, but mostly I just felt like we were putting clean clothes on the dirty body that is my house.  I had originally thought that they would help with the deep cleaning that we so desperately need over time, but I was wrong.  They were just charging me DKNY prices for Wal Mart clothes, which was better than nothing, but not nearly enough for me.

So, I've decided to finally do something about it.  I've made up (another) cleaning schedule and I'm trying to do something everyday except Saturday.  I've decided that I have to do it during the kids naptimes, no more computer time mid-day.  I also put together a 'kit' of the cleaners I use so that I can just grab it and go to the room I'm cleaning.  Saves a ton of time running back and forth to get, for instance, the Windex (and then the rag, oh wait, I should fold this laundry and put these dishes away and an hour later I might actually get back to the bathroom with the rag, kwim?).  I also noted how many different rags and which mop I'll need so I just take it all with me.  So far it's worked really well.  I've spent about 2 hours cleaning every day this week, starting Tuesday - that's 10 hours.  Ironically, it's not really noticable.  I'm cleaning the corners and behind the bed and organizing closets.  The kind of things that you don't notice per say, but when you look around it just never looks really clean.  No matter which direction I look I can see little things that have been neglected.  But no more.  The next couple of months (I'm taking it very slow) slowly but surely the millimeter of crud on the kitchen floor where the tile meets the baseboard will be gone.  (And if you think I'm nuts, keep in mind that we have white baseboards and white tile, so even a small dark line of crud is visible.)  So far, so good.  I'm even cleaning the bottom of the window openings, so when they are open all you see is white lol.

Here's my schedule:
