The AC broke again. I called the company and a very nice gentleman came to fix it after hours (but within a half hour of my calling.) He said that the previous repairman misdiagnosed the problem and he would fix the real problem.
This is the second time in a few months that a repairman had not only not fixed the problem, but caused more damage than good.
He didn't charge us last night, he said that he'd let the company hash out the billing. He agreed that they should compensate us in some way for the mistake. Especially considering the evening call last night was $111 per hour (port-to-port) plus parts. I'd like to assume that the company will either forgive first call or last night's.
Other than that, everything is okay. The doctor said I should stay on my anti-depressants through pregnancy. "The benefits far outweight the risks," was his official line. I'll talk to the OB when I go for my first visit on the 29th, and get his opinion. I'm reading up on what to expect. No morning sickness yet, just overall morning yuckiness. I'm sooooo tired!
Today is the official last day for students, though MANY are either exempt from the two exams today or will skip and take 2 letter grades lower. It's really sad how many students work hard all semester and end up with a C or a D because they couldn't drag their lazy butts out of bed. On the other hand, if they are not going to college, the letter grade really doesn't matter as long as they pass and therefore get the credit for graduation. So in that respect I guess their smart for nowing how to manipulate the system. It's all about what your goals are, and for many of my students, sleeping is at the top of the list. LOL
Oh well, back to reading and waiting for students to show up...
