I didn't mention Spencer in my last post, because he's been such a doll lately. Today he was up at 630, then back asleep by 730 until about 915, then asleep again around 1030. He woke around 1145, then was asleep again (in the car) around 2 and slept until 430. Then he went to sleep within minutes of me putting him down at 8. He didn't cry all day except to let me know that he was bored and ready to move to the next form of entertainment. This is the most he's slept in awhile, but he's been napping really well for a few days. And, he's taking almost every nap in his crib. Only once have I had to put him in his swing in the last week or so. The other day, he fell asleep on my shoulder and when I put him in a puff chair he just stuck his thumb in his mouth and went back to sleep immediately. Same with transferring him from car seat to crib today. Part of me says I should be worried, but my instincts tell me that he's fine. He's more active in the exersaucer now. He grabs at the objects and intentionally bangs on the buttons to make noises. I could see that he was making the connection between pushing the button and hearing the sound yesterday. It was pretty cool. I don't know if it's instincts or because I'm a teacher, but I recognized the look of learning and understaning in his eyes. I didn't realize it was a universal expression, but I guess it is. He was laughing for the camera yesterday. I got some great footage.

I sincerely hope that as technology races forward all our pics and movies will still be viewable in the future. I know it's silly, but it is a concern. I found a videotape of our wedding the other day and I was sad to realize we dont' have a working VCR, so I can't watch it. I'll have to talk to Mike about getting it digitized. What happens when we don't have QuickTime to play .mov 's? Do we get it converted to the next type of file? How much will it cost and what will the quality loss be? Who knows. Everything we think is so advanced now will seem pale by comparison in a couple of years. Anyway, I'm way off topic. Things must be pretty good in my life if thats the most pressing issue.
