It's been awhile, yet again. I keep not blogging because it takes so long, but if I would do it everyday it wouldn't be so bad.

A lot has happened. Obviously Rachel has been born. She's 14 weeks today. Got a lump on her leg we are going to have checked out on Thursday. The doc said she had increased muscle tone in her left thigh within days of being born, and now this bulge in the form of an extra fat roll has shown up. It doesn't seem to bother her or keep her from trying to flip and such. We'll see.

Spencer has a delay in several areas, most notably communication. We are working with him and having him evaluated next Friday by a doctor (previously by Early Intervention). We were concerned that he was showing red flags for autism, but red flags or not, he's NOT autistic. He's really warming up to Mike, and his grandparents. We kinda got a wake up call that he's not going to just pick up everything on his own, we have to teach him. Well duh! It seems so obvious now, but it didn't before, so we are working on it. Mike didn't even try to watch Dr. Who this weekend. When he got up with Rachel and then Spencer on Sunday, he just played with Spencer. The difference in their relationship is very noticeable.

We went to the Aquarium Saturday for my mom's 50th birthday. It was interesting to say the least. No strollers, huge crowds and a toddler who's not used to that combination. Suffice to say my arm hurt from carrying a 30 lb boy for several hours.

Mike got a new car because the Element got broken into. They stole his computer and the bag I bought him for Christmas.

Lucy had heart surgery. Her recovery is slow but coming along. Her health and spirits were poor to begin with so she was at a bit of a disadvantage going in. Spencer gave her a kiss yesterday voluntarily, so that helped her a bit.

Life was pretty crazy (not good crazy) for awhile there. Hopefully they will get back to normal soon. I don't think that this thing on Rachel's leg is a big deal. For one main reason: one thing after another has been going wrong during the last 12 weeks, and we think it's finally starting to stabilize. It would be a real kick in the teeth for things to get bad again. Granted if it's something horrible like the big C (can't even type it), everything else will seem like nothing.

Okay, I'm really going to try to update this at least once a day.
