Rachel is fine. The doc said it feels like fatty tissue, no swollen lymph nodes or hard bumps. Hooray!!!! Poor thing was awake the whole time and not fussy at all. She practically passed out when I got her home in her crib.
Things are difficult with Spencer. He's starting to hit the temper tantrum phase (just grazing it, but still). Combine that with his inability to tell me what he wants and we've got problems. I hope they recommend speech therapy tomorrow. I want so badly to help him. I've figured out that he's not responding to his name because he doesn't know he's supposed to. He does respond to "How big is Spencer?" every time and he always looks at me. Right now he's taking a break in his crib.
I feel like I'm not cut out for being a mom. I feel like I've screwed Spencer up so much and he's only 19 months old. What will I have done by the time he's 19 years???
I re-joined the Y today. Hopefully the socialization of the childwatch will be good for Spencer. I also signed him up for a tumbling class. They don't have a Mom's Day Out program like Margot's Y does, but oh well. They are doubling the workout facility. Nice!
