Okay, I finally got my computer back. Actually, I had my computer the whole time, but we had to figure out my dad's network password so I could get online. If they had macs, it would have taken 2 minutes, but they are pc people, so it took a lot longer lol.
Yesterday was good and bad. I think the bad was mostly because I was tired :oP. Not that I was mean or anything like that, I just think I was making mountains out of molehills, because I was. We went over to my dad's neighbors house, she has 3 kids, the youngest boy is 2.5 (and slightly smaller than Spencer). When we went in, he looked around, noted the other kids (who were running and jumping and yelling, etc) and went to play with all the new toys. The little boy came over and was jealous of Spencer playing with his toys and they kinda felt each other out, but Spencer was definitely more interested in the toys. He said HI to the mom, and then waved bye-bye as we were leaving. So, of course, I'm thinking oh no, he was more interested in the toys, which is true, but he noticed the kids, seemed slightly intimidated by their boisterousness, and then went to the toys. He was far from unaware of their presence.
Then we went out to dinner. There was a tv on above our table. It was showing Nascar footage. As soon as the cars came on, he started making racecar noises. So cute. He was doing hte sign for more before the food came, but I couldn't get him to do it when he was eating and wanted more. I tried to get him to point, but again, no luck. He started to get antsy - but not fussy, and Rachel started crying so we left and John stayed behind to get the check. Time was all off yesterday too, he napped late in the afternoon, because he had slept so late, then we were at dinner around teh time he normally goes to bed. We didn't get him into bed until after 830, and by that time we was starting to get cranky. RaRa was just going down too, and she was also cranky. I was exhausted by then, and the knot in my stomach was back.
Rachel was up at 6am sharp for her bottle, but she didn't wake up at all at night. She's okay in the pack n play!!! What relief!!! Spencer didn't get up till 715. I sat up in my bed, which is right next to his pnp, and he stood up, looked at me and did the hungry sign. Then he laid down and played with puppy for a few minutes, then stood up again, looked at me and did the sign again lol. We went downstairs and at the bottom of the stairs you can see straight into my dad's room. My dad called him in there and he almost went. He only stopped when he heard the fridge door opening, and he came to find me in the kitchen.
He had cheerios for breakfast, he did well with the spoon. He would go back to his hands, but if I said, use your spoon, he went back to it.
He was fussy and I asked him what he wanted and he looked at the TV. That would have been another good time for me to model pointing, but oops! I put on LE and he was happy. I was talking with my dad and right after they said "we've got a mission", he came over and wanted to be picked up, so I did and we went to watch Rocket take off and pat, pat, pat. He watched for a few more minutes, then was off. He went to the window and I said, what do you want and he pounded on the window, so I said do you want to go outside and he went to the door. I'm trying to emphasis the words yes and no, I guess i should look up the signs for them. The point is that he's communicating, well, looking at the tv is questionable, i guess, but we are getting there. I should have held up the dvd cases to give him a choice. Damn!!!
We are getting pics taken later. That should be fun!!! Both kids are napping now. I've babbled long enough...
