Tumbling class was interesting. 3/4 of the gym was for basketball and that's really all Spencer was interested in. Which is cool, it's nice that he's actually showing a preference. The instructors were young, maybe 18, and had no teaching skills what-so-ever. Basically, the kids who'd been there before (and were older) did great, and the rest of us were left to figure it out for ourselves. I wouldn't mind that if we hadn't paid $35 for the class. We'll keep going though.

Cathy and Matthew were there and Cathy said that Matthew didn't do well at Mover's and Shaker's either. She said he wanted to get up and run around, had no interest in the songs. Sounded very familiar ;o). Music to my ears that Spencer wasn't the only one that didn't give a crap about the songs LOL.

Rachel did very well in the childwatch. I was terrified I was going to forget her, but obviously I didn't. She smiled at me when I went to get her. I wasn't smiling at her (I was writing something) and I looked up and she was all grins. My heart melted. I really am glad I had a little girl. I can see now that this was how it was meant to be.

Starting to get nervous about Spencer's appt on Friday. We are going in with a lot more knowledge than last time, so I don't think it will be as difficult to hear the answers that come out of my mouth. I hope so much that it goes well. I really don't want to go back to feeling the way I was. I know in my heart that he's fine. I just want this eval so they can recommend speech therapy and we can move forward in that direction.

He was doing great today responding to his name. Yippee!! Now if I could just get him to extend that damn finger!!! He shared his Lightning McQueen car right in the middle of playing with it. Man I love that kid. He's so awesome. And he ate his entire pb&j for lunch. Hungry! But wouldn't touch a hot dog for dinner, nibbled on carrots and broccoli, though. Go figure.

Off to read some more. Maybe I'll take that bath tonight...
