Wow!! Spencer actually showed a little separation anxiety today at the Y. Finally! It was cute, except they were packed and his crying made other kids cry. I feel for the women who work there, I seriously don't know how they do it.
It went like this: I went to pick them up, they were fine. I decided to go to the bathroom and come back. I came back. I called for Spencer and he turned and looked at me with his tired little eyes and came running. I picked him up, then they brought Rachel, she was crying. She needed a bottle. She went from fine to hysterical in the time it took me to go to the bathroom. I decided to let Spencer play longer while I fed Rachel. Big mistake! He started screaming bloody murder! I walked to the lobby to feed Rachel and could hear him screaming. So I went in and sat inside the kid's area, fed Rachel and held Spencer. Lori (the cw manager) said I really wasn't supposed to do that - with other people's kids all around only they are supposed to interact, I understood. So I tried to get up, Spencer started screaming again. I got outside the kid area, so I could strap Rachel in and Spencer was still screaming. As soon as we got out and started heading for the door he was fine. So tired!! We got home, had a snack and some milk and he is currently asleep. Rachel too.
OH OH OH OH OH!!!!!!!!! RACHEL GIGGLED FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!! She's kinda chuckled a couple of times, but this was for real!!!!! So cute. I was wiping up spit-up from her chest and belly and it must have tickled because she made the cutest little laughing noise!!!!!! Man, I'm so lucky to have two great kids!!!
