Good day. Speech therapy went well. Miss Jen is moving onto real words instead of just sounds becuase he met his consanant vowel sound goal. He's been saying car all day, and I've heard a lot of other things too. Monkey when he was chasing Monkey, I don't know what else, but there were a few. He pointed to a couple of things in books that I asked him too. He followed directions, etc. He played with Rachel alternately giving and taking his juice cup from her in the high chair again.
Mike's cousin Ted is in town for Thanksgiving and visiting us today. Spencer gave him a magnet that he had been playing with. Ted seemed to enjoy his time with the kids.
Rachel is chewing on everything, having trouble taking a bottle (wants it, turns away, wants it, turns away), fussy, etc. I hope that the tooth breaks soon, and she's not a long teether like Spencer.
The only low point was when we were outside and our neighbor came out. She made a comment about Spencer liking being the center of attention, which he does, but she was referencing development, and it brought me down a bit. I also wondered what Ted was thinking about Spencer and if he was thinking "this kid ain't normal". I almost asked, but either way the answer wouldn't matter. If he said yes, it wouldn't make me feel better and if he said no, it would definitely make me feel worse. So I didn't ask. Seems like the safest route.
Singing time, enough for tonight...
