What a strange day. Kid wise it was great. Personally, I was just out of it. Womanly things left me wishing for menopause to arrive sooner rather than later. I was just tired and worn out and felt like crap. When Mike got home he asked what he could do to help, I told him he could take over so I could go lay down for a few minutes. The next thing I knew he was waking me up saying it was 2 hours later and the kids were in bed. Guess I just needed a break.

As I was running out the door this morning, the lawn guys finally showed up to finish the job they have been supposed to do for the last month. Hooray! Mel stopped by to tell me that she couldn't go this morning, because she had some business to take care of. She did give me some games though. Luckily there weren't many kids at the meeting so it was okay, and most were Rachel's age, so they just played. It went well, except for the womanly issues, but nothing I could do about that. Someone stepped up toe be secretary of the club (albeit with stipulations, but whatever) so the executive board is complete. Seems like a nice group of women so it should be fun.

The new lawn guy came by to mow before the rain came. He even mowed some of the backyard and didn't charge me extra - even when I offered to pay more. He's going to come back tomorrow and lay some straw on what the guys seeded today. I told him that we want a nice yard, we just don't want to do any of the work lol. Which is exactly true. He's got some ideas about landscaping, and it looks like the brick landscaping wall will finally be a reality later this summer. Yippee!! By this time next year, our yard may *gasp* actually look good. Like maybe we won't be the white trash yard on the street. It doesn't help that our neighbor has the best yard on the street which just makes ours look even worse. But this new guy seems to have his stuff together and seems to be honest, which is a HUGE plus in my book. And he seems to enjoy doing it, so I think that the satisfaction of seeing a yard well done maybe an additional payoff in his book, if that makes sense. Keep those fingers crossed. I so don't want to have to call in a company, I really want to use an actual person.

I can't believe it but even with a 2 hour nap, I think I may be ready to go back to bed. I must have been tuckered and not realized it.
