I've got a cold. Summer colds suck. Today is day 4, so hopefully I can be over the hump by the end of the day.
Rachel is doing great. So damned cute. Trying to talk, not trying to walk.
Spencer is also doing great. Using full sentences now. And I can even understand about 1/3 of them. He's trying though.
Mike likes his new job, which is good. We don't have med insurance this month which is scary to me. He keeps saying we can retroact cobra if we need to, but that seems a little too convenient. I know it was a lot of money to pay for it, but it would have made me feel better. Hopefully it will be a non-issue.
Other than the cold, I'm doing well. We are going to Memphis tomorrow to see my dad and John for the weekend. They sounded very happy about it. I have to take Spencer tomorrow to get fitted for his little ring bearer's tux for Rick's wedding. The place is an hour from here, but right on our way out of town. I was going to go today, but it would have cost about $25 to drive there and back, so I'll do it tomorrow.
Oh, and I'm president of the mom's club now. I don't think I 'officially' take over until next week's board meeting, though. I really thought it was going to be no big deal, but now I'm definitely getting the impression that it a lot of work. The current prez commented last night how wonderful it was to show up to something without having to do all the planning ahead of time. I don't mind doing the work, but I get kinda spacey on details sometimes, so I hope I don't screw up and the group ends up disbanding or something. Oh well, I've got a good group of women with me on the new board so I'm sure we will work together to do great things.
