We finally got internet back yesterday afternoon.  Sunday we had a freaky, scary, completely unpredicted windstorm that did major damage to our area.  We were lucky that we only lost power for a few minutes.  There are people in my neighborhood that have been without power since then and will be still until this Monday.  We were without phone/internet/cable for five days, and though it was annoying, I'm really glad that it's all we had to deal with.  In the mean time the insurance company could not call us so we still have to wait for an insurance adjustor before we can have things fixed.  We need lots of roof work and new garage doors and some siding panels.

Spencer's hearing is fine.  Which I knew before.  My thought was that he wasn't hearing correctly, not that he wasn't hearing at all.  The ENT looked at me like I was nuts, which I kinda expected :o(.  But he did send us to audiology for a hearing test.  The audiologist said that he had some trouble with a few low range sounds, but he did fine on some other test so she thinks he was just 'done' with the whole thing by then.  It's common, I guess.  We go back in three months for a follow up, she said by then he will be old enough to do a 'play' test that get's more accurate results.  She said he was almost ready to play that day, but again he was 'done' so we'll wait and try again.  So we are back to square one.  Seems like the last few days getting him to say one word at a time is pulling teeth.  It isn't supposed to be this hard.  I think maybe he is cutting his two year molars.  He was in a helluva bad mood yesterday.

Rachel is finally walking for real.  We went to Melanie's baby shower last weekend and I said that she wasn't walking.  Well, Rachel must have heard me, because she walked all around that house as if she'd been walking for months.  She even ran for a few feet.  Since then she's been cruising around, she even bent over and stood back up yesterday.  I remember Spencer doing the exact same things.  She's also cutting several teeth, so that's kept us on our toes.

I had some chest pains the other day and have been having boughts of lightheadedness and nausea.  Yesterday as I was working out, it was really bad and I got a little freaked out.  I asked Mike to come home and made a doctor's appt.  The doc said that everything is fine, ran an EKG to be sure, but wants to do some blood work to check my thyroid and for anemia.  I hate fasting lol.

Gotta run, lots to do today.  Got roofers coming and need to get to the gym.  Going to hang out with Melanie later today which I'm looking forward to.
