Does Santa wrap presents or set them under the tree?
wraps, definitely. He'd like to spend lots of time making them all beautiful and putting them out long before Christmas morning, but he's willing to wait a few years for that ;o).
Colored lights on tree or white?
Colors, no blink - The new LED lights let purple look purple instead of pink! yippee!
When do you put your decorations up?
Changes every year, this year was the day after Thanksgiving.

Favorite holiday memory as a child:
My dad's side used to do presents on Christmas Eve. So one year, someone in the family took me and my cousin to get something from the store right in the middle of the festivities. I was pretty sure that Santa would pick that exact time period to come to the house, I was young, but not stupid lol. When we returned we walked in to all the presents around the tree and the adults feigning surprise. I remember walking right past all the presents and to a nook in the back of the house. There was a new bike waiting for me, just as I knew (don't ask me how) that it would be.
When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
My dad was a mall Santa and someone told me that I had been sitting on his lap when the picture was taken. Odd that I don't remember who told me. Or have the picture. :o(
Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Mike and I do our gifts on the 22nd. Winter solctice, longest night of the year, romantic, etc.
How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
This year there's nothing but handmade (mostly foam) craft ornaments that the kids and I have made.
Snow! Love it or dread it?
Love it if I can stay home.

Do you remember your favorite gift?
There are many. My favorite gift ever was the year that Barb got me a box full of office supplies. I think my dad had bought me a desk, but I'm honestly not sure. I was just so thrilled with all the office supplies.
What's the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Seeing joy and wonder in my children's faces on Christmas morning. I am a hundred times more excited than they are.

What is your favorite tradition?
Last year my dad and John came up and my dad, Rachel and I went out shopping on Christmas Eve. We are going to do it again this year, and I'm looking forward to it.
Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
Giving. There's not much that I want/need that I don't just buy for myself, so I kinda shoot myself in the foot on the receiving part.

Ever recycled a Christmas present?
Often. Sometimes the enjoyment of a gift comes from the happiness I get by giving it to someone else who will truly appreciate it. Or, on the flip side, passing along something truly horrid to someone I didn't want to buy for anyway >:o).
