Rachel has hand, foot and mouth disease. So far she just has a mild rash and sore throat. She ate very little today, but Mike got her to eat a few bites of pasta in the evening, so hopefully it's not too bad. She is drinking fluids.
Spencer is doing well, so far no signs of HFMD. He said this morning that he was feeling bad, but he wouldn't give me any specifics. At that point he'd been up over an hour and hadn't gone to the bathroom yet, so he could have just had a full bladder. He's a puzzle. I keep forgetting how much better behaved he is when he gets some outside time during the day. We spent a few hours outside today and he was in great spirits all day. He also has a lot more of my attention outside since there are so many fewer distractions. That may have something to do with it. Since we are stuck at home, I plan to be outside as much as possible tomorrow. Of course, that means it will rain all day :oP. Actually we could use some rain...
Made an amazing light(er than normal) lasagna for dinner. Went to the gym tonight and had a good run - 10 min run, 3 walk, 10 run - at a higher speed and higher incline than before. Felt good and I didn't cheat at all. Did my situps and pushups. Heart rate monitor clocked the whole thing at 842 calories. More than enough to burn off the lasagna and the cookie I had when I got home. :o) Another new low today, hopefully another still tomorrow.
