Am I the only person in the world for whom taking cold medicine makes me feel worse as often as it makes me feel better? I certainly can't be. Sat night I took some and I felt great. This morning I took some and I felt worse, and then much better when it had worn off. Who knows...
Feeling much better this evening though. Like I have a cold, not like I'm sick. So that's good. Got a good workout in, also felt good.
Found a new bread recipe that is absolutely amazing. Made two huge loaves. I sliced a piece off of one right out of the oven and put some butter, sugar and cinnamon on it. OMG! The only thing that kept me from devouring the rest of the loaf the same way was that there was no more soft butter. Most of the time I am thankful for my butter bell, but today I'm just glad it was empty!
Poor Rachel is sick, she had a fever this morning and a runny nose all day. She just looked miserable, though she insisted that she feels fine. Spencer coughed a few times. It was a beautiful day, so I let him go outside and play for a bit. He came back in soaking wet and covered in mud. Was a bit too chilly for that, so Mike put him straight into a warm bath and we just laid around watching movies the rest of the day. It was a really nice day.
I think Mike is starting to get a bit stir crazy though. Poor guy... I'm not looking forward to him going back to work, it's been really nice having him home. And he is getting his first novel written, which is a huge thing for him. But I would like some resolution to the whole job thing, just for peace of mind. Though honestly, now that we are covered by health insurance it doesn't bother me nearly as much.
Calories are low for the day and I've got a sweet tooth. That's a dangerous combo! I'm hoping some Sleepytime tea will work it's usual magic and get me through...
