Time of Run:  morning
Distance:  4.44 miles
Time Running:  1:03 (.3m warm up, run-walk, .2m cool down)
Location/Weather/Temp:  upper 40s, overcast

Notes:  Did the usual go/don't go dance with myself this morning.  Went.  First half was hard to keep going, second half was hard to keep to a slow, steady pace.  Felt great.  Knees sore now (1pm), but nothing unmanageable.  Stretched thoroughly, but will stretch again later this evening.

Starting to realize that I don't really get into a good groove until I've been running for awhile.  And that point keeps getting farther out.  When I first started it was after a few minutes, now it's after a couple miles (I can't believe I'm thinking in terms of miles and not minutes anymore).  This morning, I kept thinking of going home and trying again tomorrow until almost the 2 mile mark.  I kept thinking that I was barely moving, never going to finish, etc.  But after that, the time sped by and I kept having to pace myself from going too fast, rather than pushing myself to keep going at all.  Strange. But I got home, not out of breath, not ready to take a nap, just energized for the day.  I felt more awake than if I'd spent the hour sitting on the couch, but no more fatigued.  It's amazing to me to feel this way, because when I first started in April, after one minute I felt like my lungs and throat were on fire and my heart was going to explode after 1 minute (literally).
