End of Week One...

Let's see how I did, shall we?

Exercise - Check, Check and Triple Check

The only thing I missed in this category is Pilates yesterday.  Since I do different routines everyday, I plan to make it up today.  I didn't actively decide to not do it, I just forgot.

Food - Check

I did not make 2 servings of fruit everyday, but I only missed twice.  Even then, I ate more fruit than I have in several months.  Routine is the only thing that battles ADHD, so it's just gonna take some time to build that up.

I did not have a salad every night.  Missed twice also.  Again, just forgot.  Also again, I will try harder to build the routine so it's harder to forget.

Calorie counts - check.  Every day, I think.  Takes a little more time than I'd really like to devote to it, but it's necessary.  The horrible irony is that if I ate nothing but pre-packaged processed crap it would be quick and easy to count.  My phone can just scan the upc code.  But remembering how many potatoes I started with or how much half and half exactly that I used for mashed potatoes is a lot more time consuming.  Worth it though, in the end.  I'd rather eat 500 calories of home made mashed potatoes than 250 calories of store bought, chemical laden, pseudo food.  And if that keeps me fat, then so be it.  Ideally though, I just eat 250 calories of the homemade stuff lol.

Personal - Check

Grammar and punctuation?  Oh, how ironic that I really wanted to abbreviate that.  Haha!  I'm doing well.  My goal was to be better, not perfect.  And I have to remind myself of that when I spend 10 minutes correcting a two sentence tweet.

Desk, Closet and Kitchen Clean?  Yep.  I'm doing well with those, too.

In summary, I've done well so far.  16 miles run, 1 hour of Zumba, 3 Pilates sessions, Calories at or below target almost every day.  Down 2.5 lbs.  Whoot!

I've added another unofficial resolution and that is to sit up straight when seated in a chair.  It's amazing how often I am hunched over and don't even realize it.  Right now, actually, my back is screaming from forcing it up straight.  It's going to take time to retrain the muscles.  But another thing that will be worth it overall.  I've noticed both my kids sitting with a 'C' curve to their backs as well and I've started gently guiding them upright.
